In January 2022, Brannens of Newport became a client. The traditional pub and bed and breakfast is based in Newport, Co. Mayo in the west of Ireland. Their marketing had been quiet since the pandemic, and so began their revamp in early 2022. Since then, Brannens have experienced a growth in their website traffic, social media following, and their room sales.
What was the problem?
🟣 For Brannens, their website was not completed as a result of the pandemic.
🟣 The site was also optimized for desktop, despite most bookings being made through a mobile.
🟣 Their social media accounts were inactive.
🟣 Lastly, the pandemic hindered sales in the B&B.
What was the solution?
Firstly for Brannens was completing the website:
This started with completing all unfinished web pages. Followed by adding new important web pages for Brannens of Newport. These included, a Brannens Bar, Newport Co. Mayo , and multiple activities pages. The meta data was updated to help with SEO performance also.
Following this, some unused ‘html’ was removed to improve the speed of the site. The website was completely optimized for mobile also. Previously, the pages were squished, with text overlapping, making it difficult to read for potential customers. By making some quick changes, the site is now incredibly user-friendly for mobile visitors, as well as those using their desktop.
Secondly, Brannens handed over the reigns to their social media:
This strategy focused on authentic content to match the real-authenticity of Brannens. Through regular posting, regular content, and supporting local people, the results speak for themsevles – see them below!
