Chambers Marketing X Ellestrator
Even a marketer needs some help getting started
Creating a logo, and starting the brand journey
When starting out with the brand, we wanted to create a specific logo. We wanted to create a logo and colour palette to represent the service and expertise we provide. So, we did what every good business should do, and look for an expert. Enter, Ellestrator.
Developing the logo
From the very beginning, the thought for the logo was targeted towards the idea of a door.
Firstly because of Cathal’s surname (Chambers, chamber door).
Secondly, because a door often reflects the situation for businesses. Businesses can get quality aid and support to open doors they didn’t know were there. Ultimately increasing their sales.
The final nod in the logo is to the infamous door at NUI Galway (University of Galway) where graudates often snap a photo with their degrees.
Some of the reasoning behing the purple colour can be attributed to the years Cathal spent in NUI Galway.

Choosing a colour palette
The next step for the brand was choosing the colour palette. A brand’s colour palette is very important. These colours will define:
- Customers attitudes towards the brand
- The design of your marketing activities
- Your content on social media and other platforms
- In some cases, the design of your office or premises
For Chambers Marketing, the colour scheme is made up of: Purle (primary colour), Cream (secondary colour), White (text), and Pink (accent).
The psychology of the colours are to instill the royalty of purple. Representing the service you will receive. Cream is added to represent comfort and reverence. This colour aims to make you feel at ease, and trust that we understand and respect our work. Pink is used to accent the site. This is used to lift the site and compliment the purple. Finally, the white text represents clarity.
So, as you can see. Colours schemes and palettes do not happen by accident.

Developing brand guidelines
Brand guidelines are basically the rules and stabdards set for your brand. The guidelines focus on how the brand should be presented. These include:
- The way your logo is used
- Brand history, mission, values, and vision.
- Colour scheme (palette)
- Fonts and text sizes
- Brand tone of voice
- Design guidelines + submarks
Ellestrator provided a great start point into brand guidelines for the business – which is integral for development of a brand.
From initial contact, the project was completed within 3 business days. There were multiple edits and changes. It was a pleasure to work with Ellen.
